About
Lingerie brands, chosen one at a time.
01
What this is
Lingerie Téka is a collection of lingerie brands, with notes from the people who wear them. Téka is the Hungarian word for a collection, as in vinotéka or bibliotéka. Not a shop, not a marketplace.
It’s written the way it’s chosen. Specific over superlative: “handmade in small batches” beats “beautifully crafted”, always. Warmth here looks like precision and honesty, not enthusiasm. A little dry humour is allowed, if it earns its place.
Nothing is curated just for you, and nobody is revolutionising the way you shop. If a sentence would sound strange said to a friend, it gets rewritten.

Who’s behind Téka

Téka is a one-person project, and the person is me, Luca Gőczey. I’m a graphic and web designer in Budapest, and lingerie is the thing I keep coming back to.
It’s what you wear closest to your body, and often the one thing you choose for nobody but yourself. That’s a lot of meaning for a few pieces of lace and elastic, and it’s worth getting right.
I also like organising things: spreadsheets, categories, a filter that actually works. Add my day job in design and years of paying attention to lingerie, and you get Téka. It started as a spreadsheet of brands and kept growing until it needed a proper home.

How brands are chosen
New brands come from recommendations, or from me searching for them. Whether it’s two people in a studio or a house with decades behind it, I look for the same things:
- Knowledge that shows in how the pieces are built, designed and made.
- A vision of its own, not a trend.
- Care for how and where things are made.
Every brand is selected, never paid for. A listing can’t be bought.
I don’t write about the brands. A brand page shows where it’s based, when it started and which cups it makes. The people who wear it say the rest.

Reviews
Soon, members will be able to review the pieces they own. One review per piece, by the person who wears it.
Brand websites show how a piece looks. Reviews say what it’s like to wear: the size bought against the usual size, the fit part by part, how it has held up after months of wear, and whether they’d buy it again. No star ratings.
Every review is checked before it appears. Brands can’t reply to them.

Questions
- Can I suggest a brand?
- Please do, through Submit a brand. I read every suggestion. Not every brand is added, and there’s no fixed timeline.
- I run a lingerie brand. Can I submit it?
- Yes, through the same form. It’s read like any other suggestion. Pitches and repeated requests won’t change the answer; the pieces will.
- Can a listing be corrected or removed?
- Yes. Write to me for corrected facts, new links or images, or removal. No reason needed.
- I made an image shown here. Can it be credited?
- Of course. Photographers, stylists and models can ask for a credit to be added or changed, or for an image to be taken down.
